Blue

This original oil painting of a timber was painted in early 2023. As an artist who loves wolves, this oil painting is particularly special to me. 

The painting is created on MDF board, triple primed, and varnished using Gamsol to ensure its longevity. 

I use delicate, yet bold brushstrokes  I carefully chose blue to exaggerate the fur, and green to represent the mossy environment of the Northern hemisphere, as winter approaches. I had a lot of fun painting this portrait, paying special attention to form and lighting.
